Here's the program. Buy new hard drive. Replace defective hard drive.
Seriously, once Windows sees a bad sector on a modern hard drive the hard
drive is not to be trusted. Hard drives have built in spare sectors that are
automatically mapped in as bad sectors are found. If Windows is seeing a bad
sector then all of the spare sectors are used up. If you are using NTFS then
it also automatically maps out bad sectors as it finds them. If it keeps
reporting bad sectors then there are more occurring on an ongoing basis or
the bad sector is in a critical system area that can't be mapped out. Back
up your data and replace the drive.
