Try plugging the device into a powered usb hub, or removing all other usb
devices and trying - might be a power issue...

I recently tried to install a new printer to my system, XP Pro using the
installation provided by the manufacturer. I started the installation,
then
it got to a point where it wanted me to plug in the printer, let windows
discover it, then have windows install the device automatically. It
searched
for a very long time, and I ended up having to end the process. I tried
again selecting the specific folder that the driver is in, but the same
thing
happened. (I've installed this on another computer before, so I know that
it
works) Only thing is that now I get the unplugged/plugged in sound, but I
don't get a bubble to install the device nor is it in the device manager
to
uninstall. Any thing I can do to get this installed?
