Re: motherboard

I have three different situations with 3 different computers, sorry if I
confuse anybody. I'm new at this group thing and I don't know how it works,
I'm sure everyone goes thru this at first.

Afterthoughts:
You need to be a little more specific in your questions.Quite a few of the
newer mobo have 2 some 3 fans actually attached to parts of the mobo.
These boards can have a northbridge and a southbridge as well as the CPU
itself with fans for cooling.
It is also helpful to continue a tread as it relates to the same setup even
if a different problem crops up.This way people can follow and actually see
what was posted before quite easily...as well as judge by the posts the
level of your experience and reply accordingly.
I saw video card...monitor....and fan questions from you and the initial
response gave you the proper answer as they saw the question....then you
expanded upon the question which required a different answer. This is a
volunteer group ...a peer to peer help group and as such patience can be
quite thin at times.
You also notice this is an XP hardware help group and none of your questions
had anything remotely to do with XP. I dare say that if your name was not of
the feminine gender you most likely would have received the standard "not XP
related" reply.
no insult intended here....just some random ramblings on your 3 or 4 posts.

Confuse..there is three fans in the case, one is the psu, one mounted
on
the
socket processor on mobo and another on the back of the case, I know
there's
heatsinks in the psu so I'm not sure now. Please bare with me I'm new
at
this
but I'm experimenting with pcs that are pronounce dead.

If it's the fan mounted to the CPU's heatsink, then it's critical. If
it
is
the fan mounted at the back of the case and is not in any way used to
cool
the CPU, you can leave the case cover off to keep things semi-cool
until
you
replace it.

The fan thats on the motherboard stoped working is this critical
issue?
or
can I replace with no problem, I'm new at replacing part on pc's.
Thank
you
