Searching for Intellipoint hack

Is anyone aware of a hack for intellipoint 5.5 that will make the
middle mouse click behave as an alt+click in IE.

I have to use IE at work and want it to behave more like firefox. In
the past, I successfully used AutoHotKeys to make a middle click open a
new tab, but with Window Live Toolbar it stopped working.

I have seen a hack to make it behave as ALT+TAB. I am hoping for
another for this.
