I swear I am going INSANE! Here I am all excited with a brand new
300gb SATA drive, right? I've got it all setup as the primary boot

have had the DVD on the ISA-1 ALSO to no avail.

I boot from my windows cd, it goes through it paces for a couple of

correct. This may involve a minufacturer-supplied diagnostic or setup

I have my MAXTOR "MAXBLAST" CD. I did setup the drive, which I was
then told to use my OEM software etc... you know the drill. That is
what I have been trying to do...FOREVER!

I know I am missing something here...A driver or some little trick of
some sort, a script maybe?

Can anyone PLEASE HELP A LADY OUT IN COLORADO???

Instead of " I did setup the drive, which I was then told to use my OEM
software etc... you know the drill. " you could detail everything that you
did so someone could try to figure out what could be wrong. Otherwise it
would be a never ending Q&A.

I will start. Are you replacing a drive or doing a fresh install to start
from the beginning? Do you have a drive that works in the machine and want
to transfer the OS to the SATA?
