I have an Amd 64 system and this pops up in the even viewer all the
time. I am running latest bios. My memory is good, cpu and mb have
both been rma'd.
Application popup: Windows - System Error : A Machine Check Error has
occurred. Please check the system eventlog for additional information.
Machine Check Event reported is a corrected error.
Amd has just placed a new tool up that allows decoding of these stupid
events and this is what it says. It still isn't plain English but
seems to be related to video the only things i don't have spares for.
I have a 450watt psu so nothing should be starving for power. I have
an agp geforce fx5900. It is running latest bios and I have tried
about every chipset and video driver possible. Before I go out and
spend $150+ on a new vid card is there anything else that could cause
this?
