Either you loaded an INF file for the monitor or you updated the drivers
for your video adapter.

This wasn't like this before. Why is it normal now?

All of the sudden, when I look at Monitors in device manager there are
2 monitors listed. One is default monitors, and the 2nd is the
monitor I am using (NEC).
When I delete 1 or both devices, both are reinstalled. Is there a fix
for this, and or why is XP doing this?
Thanks,
More info: Your video card might be able to support two monitors connected to
it. Check the back of your PC and see what type of connector your might have
for video.
Possible connectors:
DVI -- Digital signals for new digital only monitor (some LCDs) Adapters
available to convert to a second VGA connector.
VGA -- Standard video signal connectors for most monitors (CRTs and LCDs)
SVideo -- Video connector usually to connect to a TV.
If your video card in built onto the motherboard (aka on-board), several
motherboard manufacturer sell an add-on adapter which permits the second
monitor to connect to your PC. It depends on your make/model of motherboard,
if this is the case.
