I thought you said the machine was only 5 months old. Did you buy it
used?
In any case, buy a replacement keyboard for that specific model laptop
and have Dell send it to you. It will come with replacement
instructions and you can either replace the keyboard yourself or have a
local tech do it for far less than that cost.
Replacing an Inspiron keyboard is very easy.
