Hello...
This sounds like its definitely a system issue, regardless of SW. If it
crashes while downloading music and playing games that doesn't necessarily
mean its a video card issue... (because if the video card was that it would
crash all the time).
You are using an ECS motherboard, since the days of the pentiums (classic)
the mighty ECS motherboard has been crappy - no matter what...
I would try this:
1. Reset bios to setup defaults, then don't change anything... (testing to
see if its a performance enhancement issue).
If that doesn't change anything...
2. Check the RAM that you are using and make sure its been tested by ECS
although the memory is probably not the issue - its definitely worth
checking.
Speaking of RAM have you tried different RAM in this system? Random system
crashes and BSOD's are frequently a RAM issue.
And last but not least...
3. Update BIOS from ECS Website, Be very careful to get the correct BIOS for
the version of your board, Many boards can look the same and they have
different BIOSES.
FYI: If you update with the wrong BIOS it will trash the M/B, you will have
to warranty the board back to ECS to fix it.
That is.... Be careful when updating bios this is almost always the last
resort...
