Am trying to set up a wireless router using an existing "netopia 3341" dsl modem and a "belkin g+b wireless router. The modem is connected to the
desktop pc via usb and not ethernet as recommended. The belkin router
insists on ethernet connection but the modem refuses to recognise this
connection.
If I leave the usb config as is and just connect the router and modem via
ethernet, should this work?
Doing this retains the internet connection and the local conn. between modem
and router appears ok but the wireless laptop conn. is not there.
So far tech help from dell, broadband supplier and belkin have failed to set
up a working w/lee connection on lap top !
