Hi Anna
Thanks for your reply, I was hoping you were about as I have read (and been
impressed by) some of your other posts. I will try to answer the points you
raised;
I am not entirely sure what jumpering is but I followed the guidance on the
HP website;
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&cc=uk&docname=bph03429&product=77701&dlc=en&lang=en
The HD model is a Quantum Fireball LCT 20 40
I am not sure about the capacity limiting, but it was using the full 40Gb
when it was in the Tivo and I made no changes to it wehen I removed it.
I think the Tivo is a standard HD, I have just replaced it with a Seagate
200Gb HD
Regarding using the XP Disk Management utility to partition & format the
drive, I tried to but it only sees it as a 9Mb partition. I tried deleting
the partition and it just did it then showed it as 9Mb unallocated.
I tried adding a partition and it only allowed me to up to a maximum of 9Mb
I hope this info helps, as I am now in my 5th hour of trying to sort it out!!
Thanks in advance
Jon
