To the OP; You can probably go to a 2.8 GHz P4 478 pin
socket, but that may not get you much of an improvement,
probably not enough to see. You'd be better off spending
some money to maximize your RAM and perhaps a newer graphics
card, you may have just on-board graphics. We don't know,
but you can find out by downloading and running EVEREST from
www.lavalys.com That program is free and will examine your
system and report every detail about what it is, who made
it, even the serial number on your RAM chips.
Also, run the PC tests on-line at www.pcpitstop.com to see
what you can do to speed up your computer.
Once you have the details from EVEREST, download the
motherboard manual and spec sheets, to see what you can do
to improve the system.

| ........I want to get a new one but i dont know what Im
limited to.
|
| Therin lies the problem, no one here knows your
limitations either.
| You'll need to look in the booklet that came with your
mother board, or
| contact its maker. There's a small chance someone here
might be running
| a board like yours, but I wouldn't count on it.
