CD/DVD listed in 'Unknown' catagory of device manager

Under Control Panels/System/Hardware/Device Manager...
my original CD/DVD in my DellI8200 is listed at the very end, under
the Unknown catagory.

How do I fix this..??

Yeaaa..... my fault it's there. I deleted it awhile back knowing it would
be re-discovered next boot. But I NEVER expected it to be put back
under unknown.

It seems to be working just fine.... read/write CD, read DVD, etc.

This just irritates me.... Tried to uninstall it again, but keeps coming
back.

ONE MORE THING. Bought an external DVD writer (working just fine).
When I plug it into the 1394 port, it also is listed as under the 'Unknown'
catagory along with the original.

Can anybody help? Would be nice to get this back where it belongs.
