System crashes RAM problem?

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Can someone help? I have had an intermittent problem where my system just
shuts off for no apparent reason - there is still power to the box, but it's
almost like it's gone into hibernation mode (I have turned all these settings
off).

It seems to do it when the system has been idle for a while, as far as I can
tell, although it did happen in the middle of a reboot as well. CPU temp is
43 deg, HDD 37 and system 27, so I don't think it's overheating.

The otehr things that has been happening is that in order to reboot, I have
to turn the pc off twice - the first time it just goes to sleep again, and it
only starts properly on the second attempt.

Any ideas?

Thanks
