Print Error in XP-Professional

Hi:
Everything on my machine works fine. Except when I try to print a image
(.jpeg, .bmp) in Microsoft Photo Editor. It gives me error saying I need to
inform Microsoft about this error.
Surprising, if I use MS Paint, Ms. Picture and Fax, etc it works fine, and
lets me print the images.
Ms. Photo Editor only opens this image, but give the above mentioned error
while I try to Print it.
Printer works fine, and has been working with MS. Editor before. Suddenly it
started giving error messages. ITs on SP2 , and I have not done critical
updates last whole week.
any help ..highly appreciated.
