Intel and ASUS, in fact all mobo and BIOS manufacturers now
have BIOS upgrade programs that run from Windows. These are
preferred over the old BIOS flash from a boot floppy.
But if you made a CD with DOS and the new BIOS flash
program, it should work.
If it doesn't work, you might need a new mobo. I suggest
you check with the mobo maker for their recommended
procedure.
