Generally do not mix hdd and optical drives on same cable. Therefore:
IDE 1 - Master (hdd with O/S on it)
- Slave (hdd for data storage, video capture)
IDE 2 - Master (Optical Drive)
Are you using a 40 pin / 80 wire IDE cable for your hdd's? If you are
already using a 40/80 cable then consider that the cable may be bad and
replace it. CS on both hdd's should work if the Master (with O/S) is
connected on the end, and the Slave in the middle (The blue connector goes
on the IDE1 connector on the motherboard).
You could try setting the Master hdd to "master dual" and the Slave hdd to
"slave" on the back of the drives to see if that makes a difference.
Are both your hdd's 7200 RPM drives? (Probably if they are 120 GB)
