Many possibilities, since you didn't bother to tell us anything at all about
your hardware. :>(
We don't even know whether your USB device is a camera, or a printer or
what? Much less make and model. Also, we don't know if your USB port is
built into your computer or motherboard, or an add-on card, or a USB hub.
But, generically, you might need to update the drivers for your USB device
itself, or install (or update) the drivers for your USB device. The
Properties screens for some USB devices have a Policies tab where you can
choose between Optimize for performance and Optimize for quick removal.
