The error definitely appears to be hardware related. Basically any
microsoft error messages which contain an error code which begins with
BCCode: xxxxxxxx BCP1: xxxxxxxxx BCP2: xxxxxxxx BCP3: xxxxxxxx BCP4:
xxxxxxxx is a hardware related error code.
These codes are generally referred to as BCP Errors or Hardware
Errors.
I have a system experiencing the same problem at the moment.
If you want to determine whether it is RAM or another piece of hardware
you may want to try the following:
Right Click "My Computer" and go to "Properties". This will display the
"System Properties" box.
You can then go to the "Hardware" tab and then select "Hardware
Profiles" click "Copy" then give the new profile a name and click
"OK".
Reboot the computer into the new hardware profile (The PC will ask you
to select a hardware profile on bootup).
Once logged into Windows, Right Click "My Computer" and go to
"Properties". This will display the "System Properties" box again.
You can then go to the "Hardware" tab and then select "Device Manager"
In the "Device Manager" you will now see System Components sections
with a + sign beside them and after clicking the + sign you will see
the devices listed.
You want to now go through and "Right Click" then select "Disable" on
everything except for the following devices: Hard Drives, Keyboards,
Mice, Graphics Adapter, Processors,
If you have a USB Keyboard or Mouse, DO NOT disable anything under
"Universal Serial Bus Controllers"
There will be items which do not have an option to "Disable" them, DO
NOT "Uninstall" theser items. Simply leave them as they are.
Once you have done this, restart the PC and test the computer to see if
the error message occurs again. If the error does occur again, then you
have narrowed the problem down to:
Keyboard
Mouse
Hard Disk
CPU
RAM
Motherboard
Video Card
You can rule out most of these quite easily.
]> Video Card: (You can rule this out by tapping F8 on bootup, before
the Windows is loading screen and selecting "Enable VGA Mode", then
testing)
]> CPU: (Go into BIOS and disable the Internal Cache, if your BIOS has
the option to do this, then testing)
]> Motherboard: (Go into BIOS and disable the External Cache, if your
BIOS has the option to do this, then testing)
]> Keyboard/Mouse: (Try different keyboard and mouse, then test)
]> Hard Disk: (chkdsk /r as suggested by Ron)
Good Luck
