CD-RW drive stopped working

Help needed! The other day my CR-RW (LITE-ON LTR-52327S) just stopped
working. I cannot burn Cd's anymore. When I insert a blank disc it seems to
read it for a short while and then nothing happens. Also when I insert an
audio CD, for example, it doesn't recognise it/read it.
I have removed and installed the software (NERO) as well as the driver. I
have not physically moved the PC so the drive couldn't have gotten damaged. I
also went through the troubleshooting steps and nothing helped.

I am no computer genius so I urgently need help!!!
