You probably have some sort of network status window, that you can
open, that came with your wireless card. Check out the information
provided. You should see things like, transfer rate, what protocol (a,
b, g), any limits set, etc. Sometimes the transfer rate can be set to
some low value, or maybe on automatic, it is getting set low because
of some interference from a cell phone, etc.
