Well, first I would try removing the device from Device Manager
(Start-Run-devmgmt.msc). Then reboot and let it reinstall the drive.
Then, I would try updating the firmware:
http://www.cdfreaks.com/drive/firmware/905

Finally, I would try the suggestions here:
