Try removing the CD drive from Device Manager. Reboot and let the OS
redetect it. Otherwise, do you have a proprietary driver for it? Try
vendor support for an SP2 update (although that should not be
necessary). Also, check that the IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service is
running, and set for Automatic start (this shouldn't be the source,
but...).
