Jeremy, in my opinion I think it would be wise to just start over. If
your C and D are partitions of the same drive then
using the WinXP CD and booting from it you can delete and create new
partitions. Then just do a clean install of WinXP
on the C drive. If you had done a Repair Install instead of a
reinstall you probably would have kept mostly everything intact. For future
reference here's a good site.
