I do not know enough to fully answer your question soundly, but I can
offer some suggestions and thoughts. First off, you asked:
Could someone please confirm that " \Device\Harddisk4\D" and
"\Device\HarddiskVolume4" refer to the same drive volume?
I am thinking \Device\Harddisk4 refers to a 5th hard drive whereas
\Device\HarddiskVolume4 refers to the 5th volume on a hard drive, but I
do not know how you have your computer set up. It sounds like you have
a ton of drives.
Are you using Intel Application Accelerator for RAID? Have you double
checked the settings in the BIOS? Have you run diagnostic tools on all
of the drives?
