Prior to installing the new windows update feature all
four computers on my home network were working normally
with regards to autorun upon inserting a CD in the drive.

At first I thought it was on one computer only. All other
CD-ROM features work properly - only the autorun feature
is lost. I researched and checked the regedit solution to
no avail. Then I checked all the other computers on my
home network and found that all had the same problem.
None of the CD ROM drives recognize disk insertion.

A friend in another city is experiencing the same type
problem.

I am running windows XP on all systems, all pent.4, all
with an abundace of DDR Memory.
I notice in this same venue there is another person with
the same complaint.

Does anyone out there have any idea of what the problem
is? As stated above, all computers were working properly
for months until this new automatic update hit the scene.

Thanks for any help,

Laurence T. Widgins
