Rt click MyComputer>select Properties>Hardware>Device Manager>Dvd/Cdrom
Drives rt click on yours and choose uninstall. Then go to IDE/ATA ATAPI
Controllers and select the Secondary and rt click
and uninstall it. Restart and let WinXP reload the drivers.
