I have XP Home and would like to share a broadband
connection with the wifes computer. I bought a Belkin
network card and tried to install it on my Toshiba 1110
satellite laptop. the new hardware wizard kicked into life
and then told me that it couldn't find the file needed to
complete the install and therefore gave up. I was on the
phone to belkin for an hour and they could not think of a
reason. I downloaded the latest driver for the card too.
Does anyone know a workaround or fix for this? I did have
a problem with a usb device not being found and installed
a patch I found on a .de packard bell site! this cleared
the fault but not the pcmcia. Any help would be
appreciated.
I have a fully updated version of xp
