Audio Problem?

Hello,
Here is my problem. I purchased a Compaq Presario S6500NX computer. Always trying to find the perfect setup for me personally, I ripped out the hardrive and slammed in a new one. The computer came with XP Home, but with the new drive, I installed XP Pro. Everything seemed to go fine except now I have no sound. Properties say no audio device installed. What did I do? How can I fix it? If I need to supply more info, please let me know. Thanks so much. Robert.
