Problem using wireless mouse and keyboard simultaneously in games

Hi

I've got a weird problem that I've been experiencing ever since 'upgrading'
to a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse and Microsoft Wireless Keyboard.

Every computer game that I play such as Far Cry, Medal of Honour, Unreal
Tournament 2004 etc requires the user to use the mouse and keyboard at the
same time. However, say I am holding down a key on the keyboard to move my
character within a game, if I then move the mouse, the key that I am holding
down on the keyboard seems to stop responding & I have to re-press the key
again. If I press the key again, I can continue moving as normal until I
move the mouse again & then the key stops responding even though I am still
holding it down! This is seriously affecting gameplay & I am getting fragged
by everyone!

My keyboard & mouse are fine for general use in Windows XP & this is the
only problem I'm getting. However, this problem is very frustrating as the
hardware was quite expensive & there is no mention of this issue in any of
the documentation or on the Microsoft Website. I feel a bit short-changed in
that the hardware can't seem to deal with multiple devices at the same time
and this is quite fundamental in any hardware combination!

Anyone know if there is a driver update or if this is a known issue?

Help! I'm getting absolutely annihilated at deathmatch!
