If you cold boot the computer with the floppy in the drive,
with the BIOS set to boot from the floppy (this is different
from a normal XP setting) the floppy, which must be a
bootable floppy with the BIOS update also copied, then the
BIOS should update. There are no memory managers present in
the BIOS (If you have some strange memory setting or
security setting in your BIOS, check and turn it off).
