Standby option gone

I've lost any choice for standby mode. It no longer is an option under power
management or on the turn off or restart window. I've tried turning off
everything with msconfig but with no luck. We're running "Microsoft Windows
XP [Version 5.1.2600]" with all updates applied. Any likely places to try
and correct this?
