Xp pro won't install the correct driver for my Tdk cdrw

i've tried a number of things with the aid of tdk's online
live chat support thing. after going through everything
they could they all said it has to be an issue with XP. i
tried searching the knowledge base but i kept getting no
hits =\. ok so i bought a tdk velcdrw and installed as
show. made it the master and the normal cdrom slave. right
now the only cdrom connected is the cdrw. something i was
told to try by the techs was to disconnect the cdrom and
reboot but no help their. i was able to burn some files to
disc once using nero but a week later i couldn't burn and
i still can't. i dunno what to add so i guess i will wait
for questions. i was thinking of a format but i'd like to
burn some things but i cant use it :P. ask anything and i
wil get back to it asap!!
