Hi, and thank you for your response.

The wireless mouse is connected by means of PS2 connectors to a KVM
switch.
Today, the mouse acted up again, by hesitating before moving properly,
and sometimes halting while being moved.
Changing the frequency had no beneficial effect. I am not absolutely
certain, but I think the Keyboard also misoperates at the same time that
the mouse does.
I am now working with the PS2 connectors removed from the KVM switch,
and directly plugged into the motherboard ports.
It is working correctly - so far. But this fault only exhibits itself
randomly and intermittently, so I cannot yet say whether the fault is a
function of the KVM switch. I hope not, because the Belkin KVM switch
cost a lot of money.

I would really appreciate if some knowledgeable reader would advise a
specific cause and cure for this problem.

Rex.
