I installed a USB 2.0 & 1394 Firewire Combo PCI Adapter
in my dell computer running off of Windows XP. I booted
the computer up and it detected all the new hardware, as
it should have. Then, I popped in the driver
installation cd that came with the adapter and that
worked perfectly. After which, windows told me that my
hardware was fully configured and ready to be used. Here
comes the weird part though: I rebooted my system after
that and it wouldn't start! I tried rebooting it and few
times to see if it was a fluke, but it wasn't. I also
tried shutting the computer down to let it cool down, but
that didn't work either, so I had to pick the
option "Revert to previous working state" or something
like that, and when I clicked that, the computer worked
fine, but then, of course, it detected the pc card again
and it had to go through the process again, and it still
doesn't work. When I go into device manager, it gives
me a code 10 error saying that the device won't start for
the "OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller" and also
for the "ALi (name of the software driver for the
adapter) PCI to USB Open Host Controller." I'm really
confused as to what's happening, so if anyone could help
me, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you. Please respond
