Thanks for your reply Rob.
I did try that before. However, the problem with this small VAIO is that it
doesn't come with any instalation disks. The user is supposed to create
recovery discs from the image on the harddrive. And there is yet another
problem with those... They don't contain normal instalation files, neither
standard packages, but they mostly contain SONY propriatory packages that
can be read only using the SONY recovery software. Unfortunately, this
software has no options to restore drivers... :( (only application or the
whole system - fresh clean install).
