are those usb 1 ports or usb 2? if they are usb 2 ports, try plugging
in usb 1 device to see if it recognizes them, then you will know
whether you have a hardware or software problem.
also, found in the forum, other have suggested going to device manager
and deleting the root hubs and controllers and then reboot, let
windows find them again and sometimes it will reset the problem.
