Parameters in boot sector and NTLDR NT boot loader program
are unique to each system. With that major change, then the
repair diskettes are required to restore those parameter for
your new setup.
Best to have first built repair diskettes in the working
system before making changes. Once finished, make new repair
diskettes for the newly configured system. From way back, I
recall the program to be RDISK.exe.
