Re: windows update

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

PA Bear: Yes, I do still have the receipt. I found a flyer in a convenience
store for this guy who works out of his home. I had gone to Geek Squad once
upon a time ago & they charge a fortune! I thought I hit the jackpot by
finding this nice guy who works out of his home for a fraction of the cost of
Geek Squad. I have had to go to him a couple times for virus removal. He
usually just re-stores the computer & will charge me between $40-$80. $40
for virus removal & $80 for a re-store. I thought the prices were not bad,
but who am I to judge. It may take him 2 min of work? If I am to go back to
him, I need to know what I am talking about. What did he do wrong? I know
that there was no Malicious software removal tool. Is this something that
every technician should know & automatically re-load onto your computer after
a re-store? I just happened upon this fact by accident as I got a virus on
MY computer. The issue I have right now is my daughter's computer, but he re-
stored both of them, both with no MSRT on them. Did he do a bad job with the
virus protection he put on, the SUPER AntiSpyware Professional? My
daughter's laptop had gotten viruses a couple times and she had always had
Avast. He said this time he would put on the SUPER AntiSpyware Professional
because this is what he uses for businesses and this would give her the
"extra" protection that she needed as she seems to have a reoccurring problem
getting viruses. I appreciate your feedback. Thanks! :)

Hope you've still got your receipt for the repair work kos he didn't fix
squat!

My daughter's laptop keeps getting a blue screen message. It runs fine,
