Hello group
There is this pesky windows update notice that I don't like:
' Updates are ready for your computer Click here to instal these
updates'
This pertains about the download of IE8 which I hate to instal as I am
not impressed with it and would rather prefer the IE6.
However I have no idea where that file is located so I can just delete
it to remove that annoying prompt whenever I finished booting my PC.
I am not against any windows update except only for this IE7 and IE8
browser...
Can anybody point me to that direction?
BTW
My PC is already WinXPSp3, then why in Christ sake MS is still forcing
users to instal that IE8 update?
I would rather instal a third party browser than IE8 which to me was
unimpressive.
TIA
Have you considered using another browser like Firefox?
It's smaller in size, very customizable and should have the same
functionality as IE8.

Firefox is my alternative browser already but I still don't want to
part with IE6 although it does not support yet tabbed browsing which
FF does...<sigh>
