Rick,
Turn your Internet Security settings down as Adobe uses an ActiveX as a download manager & it seems that your settings aren't allowing for their control to go through
TOOLS | INTERNET | OPTIONS | SECURITY tab
Click on INTERNET & click the button to use the default settings. Now click on the other 3 which end in RESTRICTED SITES

Just reloaded XP and have been unable to download Adobe programs. Any
suggestions?
