XP Media Center, sfc cannot find files!

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Trying to claen up viruses, malware, etc. off of a Compaq Presario desktop.
There is an I386 folder in the C drive & I have also created the recovery
media on one DL DVD, but when trying to run, it will get to a point, asking
for the CD & not find it!
I have changed the registry key pointing to SourcePath to C:\, C:\I386\,
E:\, about every possible combination I could think of, but it still keeps
asking for the CD!
