is needed....Type the path of where the file is located and click OK." In
the field it has pre-inserted 'c:\i386'. Of course the file is not there
so if I click OK it just gives me the dreaded "yeah, that's not gonna
work" tone. I went into that location manually to search for the file and
it's not there.

I am assuming somewhere along the lines that file got removed or wasn't
there in the first place. In any case I don't have a XP disk as it was
pre-loaded into my system when i bought it (I could possibly be wrong
about that but no matter what I don't have the disk). So I'm stuck. I've
googled and yahooed an evening away trying to find somewhere I can
download this missing file to no avail. And I need it to continue. I'm
thinking of setting my computer on fire and dropping it from a tall
building into a mass of fire ants, gang violence, and thorns but I don't
think that will help with my problem.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

enum1394.sys *should* be in C:\windows\system32\drivers

If it's not there, it's in C:\i386\Driver.cab and you'll have to expand
it.
