Hello,
This is not going to be easy. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314063 -
You receive a "Stop 0x0000000A" error message in Windows XP
I would plug out all hardware before shutting down. Switch off bluetooth and
wireless by disabling them via your laptop function keys. Try shutting down
now to see if the problem persists. If it is still there, check the RAM as
outlined in the guide.

There part of the message that I listed in the blue screen includes
something
that says "irql_not_less_or_equal"

Hello,
You will need to disable the Automatic Restart in normal mode to get the
blue screen error code. Here's how:
Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced > (Startup and Recovery)
Settings
> UNCHECK 'automatically restart' > OK > OK
Now you should get the proper blue screen. Post back the information
reported there and we can assist you better

I am working on a laptop that is running windows xp sp 3. When you
shutdodwn
(select start -> shutdown -> shutdown), the computer acts like it will
shutdown, then it will display a blue screen with bunch of errors for
about 1
second, then it goes off and then restart itself. When it comes back up
it
comes wiht a couple of error message that it recovers from and ask if
you
want to send to microsoft (those do not do me any good as it doesn't
really
tell me what the errors are that it recovered from.
So right now, the only way to shutdown this laptop is to force it by
holding
down the power button for 10 seconds. This is really not good. Any one
has
any idea on how to resolve this.
I appreciate any information anyone can provide.
Thanks,
Les
