Slipstream SP3 (get at Microsoft) into a copy of your WinXP SP1.
Autostreamer works fine and is easy to use.

I believe you could also slipstream any special Dell drivers. If needed, a
program such as MyDrivers can identify and save them.

Dell does not provide any XP specific drivers on their web site for this laptop. Other laptops from Dell do have drivers for XP so they could be downgraded but not this one.

If you go to the site for the laptop and look at the specifications for the Vista OS, some of the Vista drivers will work in XP (at least the chipset ones will.)
