Spam Cop,
Just read your reply. Noticed that diplomacy is not really one of your strongest points, is it?
I really don't think for a minute that the author of the Kelly's Corner website has any problem understanding the registry...
I was saying that I just thought she had simply misunderstood both the OP and myself and was asking for a bit of clarification.
Seriously, I don't think it right to 'jump' on people with criticism - as in all things - if you thought about it, how would you feel if you were on the receiving end.
If you are in the right, then it's not so bad, though, it still will take it's toll on you at the end of the day...
Constructive criticism can justify itself, there's no honour in any other sort.

Tim,
I agree with you. Kelly's post is rubbish because of what you said
previously. Just proves she knows absolutely nothing about GPO's or the
registry

I don't understand you.... I made a little experiment to remind myself what
your 'registry hack' actually did.
I discovered that it prevents 'Internet Options' from being opened from
within 'Internet Explorer'
(and, conversely, deleting it as you advise, allows it to be opened from
within 'Internet Explorer').
So, having set this reg-value some time ago, no links in IE or OE are
affected at all since then.
Please explain further if I have not 'got it'. - Thanks.

Thus my reply: That particular edit if in place will bring up that error
message. It stops a second window from opening - aka the link.

Kelly,
I really think that when the OP says that his 'links' aren't
working in his emails, that he means that embedded hyperlinks like :
Here is a relavent link.
...this one, that refers to "Hyperlinks do not work in Outlook Express or
in Word".
(I don't think the OP has an issue with 'Internet Options')

I have a user issue i'm trying resolve. Whenever she clicks any links
in
her
email she gets a "The operation has been canceled due to restrictions
in
effect on this computer. Please contact your system admin. "
It is obviously that there is some group policy or something rather
running
on this machine. How can i see what group policies have been enabled
on
this
machine. Is there a quick view of any group policies that have been
configured and enabled? Thanks very much for your help guys. I do
have
admin rights so not an issue. Also, have admin rights on the server as
