sfc /scannow

I have my computer registry set to use C:\XP_Source\ (the location of my i386 folder) while running sfc /scannow. This sfc /scannow setup worked fine until recently. Now, however, I am asked to place my Windows XP Pro SP3 CD in the drive when the scan is about half way through this procedure. I put my CD in the drive and the remainder of the scan continues without a problem.

Could it be that the i386 folder has a problem included in it, and, if so, how do I fix that problem? If not, what might be causing my problem?

Thanks for any help sent my way on this subject.
