Thanks for your help. The OF works on logon and logoff and I have found that
you can initiate using it using mobsync command in a script if required.
Thanks,

Thanks for the reply.
I have never tried Symantec Agent Backup. I will look into it but I would
prefer getting Windows to do it.
The answer to your query is the OF stops working if cable removed and added
back in again. The only way is to manual force it or logoff and login in
again.

HiHi Shana,
Windows offline folders work very well except uunder the following condition.
Once I have plugged the laptop into windows 2003 domain and logged in the
windows sync takes places correctly and the little icon disappears, But if
the cable for example gets disconnected or I lost connectivity then the Icon
appears and synchronisation stops working even if I put the cable in again.
I can get to work by clicking the icon and maually starting it and then it
carries on working.
My question is is there a way to automatically detect and start the sysnc
when I put the cable back even if I dont do it manually. Is there a script to
do this which can be run in the background.
Hope someone can help.
Thanks,
Shana
I have all but eliminated using OF on any networks I admin in favor of
using a Desktop Agent backup from Symantec (DLO).
Are you saying that OF will not reconnect at all after reconnecting the
cable? I don't remember that ever being an issue. One way around that
is to make sure that OF sync on login and on logout. Then you will be
assured it's being done, at least at the end of the day.

So configuring OF to sync on logoff doesn't work?
