Any ideas what might cause this?
1. two computers connected together with an eithernet crossover cable, no
router or internet.
2. computer 1 want to set up as a client has xp service pack 3, computer 2
want to set up as a server has service pack 2.
3. remote deskop connection fails from either computer with (computer not
found error).
4. Trying to ping from either computer fails, no response, times out.
You can go to my network places and see folders on the other machine, also
the connection health is good.
Turned off the firewall but this did not help.
Thanks.
Did you remember to use crossover cable and assign static IPs in the same
subnet to both machines?
