Is there any freeware DB product compatible with Ms Access?

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Dear friends:

Is there any freeware DB product compatible with Ms Access?

A non profit organization with a very limited income has asked me the
above question. Could you recommend me any product that its database
is format compatible with Ms Access, and that it can create and query
simple databases?

Thanks
